Qingdao Technological University ก่อตั้งเมื่อ ปี ค.ศ. 1953 เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่ได้รับการรับรองจากกระทรวงศึกษาธิการจีน ตั้งอยู่ในเมืองชิงเต่า มณฑลซานตง เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยที่มีชื่อเสียงทางด้านสถาปัตยกรรม และวิศวกรรม ต่อมาได้พัฒนาหลักสูตรอื่นขึ้นอีก เช่น ทางด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ เศรษฐศาสตร์ อักษรศาสตร์ และด้านกฎหมาย เป็นต้น ในปัจจุบันมีนักศึกษาประมาณ 13,200 คน ประกอบด้วยนักศึกษาต่างชาติมากกว่า 300 คน จาก 20 ประเทศทั่วโลก มี ศาสตราจารย์ประมาณ 500 คนและมีอาจารย์ที่จบปริญญาเอก อีกกว่า 40 คน ในส่วนของนักศึกษาต่างชาติ ได้เริ่มเปิดรับนักศึกษาต่างชาติ ตั้งแต่ปี ค.ศ. 2004 ซึ่งจัดให้มีการเรียนการสอนในหลายสาขาวิชา เช่น ภาษาจีน วัฒนธรรมจีน เป็นต้น การเรียนการสอนใน 1 เทอม จะเรียนประมาณ 18 สัปดาห์ และเรียนทั้งหมด 20 ชั่วโมงต่อสัปดาห์ ภายในมหาวิทยาลัย ด้วยสภาพแวดล้อม และสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกอย่างครบครัน จึงเหมาะสำหรับการมาเรียนเพื่อฝึกทักษะภาษายิ่งนัก

With more than 16000 students, 1500 staff members, and more than 47 degree and diploma programs, QDC has been recognized as one of the top independent colleges in China. Rapid growth has not, however, diminished the culture borne of an institution of human scale. Every year students very highly rate the experiences and the support they receive at QDC.

At QDC, students have options in choosing curricula suitable for their personal goals and career aspirations. Internship and work opportunities allow students to gain practical experience essential for their future career, and the degree programs have been designed in consultation with the society. QDC understands the importance of a balance between academic pursuit and leisure for students, and offers extensive academic, sporting, cultural and recreational opportunities. Students in QDC, free themselves to more than 45 student clubs and organizations.

Over the past decade, we have developed our proven instructional methods that thoroughly integrate classroom study with experiential workshop practice. Our multidisciplinary approach combines traditional teaching methods with new digital technologies, and synthesizes individual study with group project work. Through collaborations with companies and institutions home and abroad, we offer students hand-on work opportunities to develop their critical thinking and practical skills.

QDC is a remarkable collection of creative talents dedicated to advanced education. Located in the north of the exciting scenic spot Mt. Laoshan, our 40-building campus adds significant architectural value to the newly renovated territorial complex. In total, the libraries hold a collection of around 950,000 volumes and provide access to thousands of additional resources via electronic networks. Our superb IT infrastructure, high tech equipment, and fully equipped labs provide students with every resource to try their ideas.

Scholarships

QDC offers a number of scholarships to students. Some are targeted to specific projects, others being more general with broader eligibility criteria. In addition, Chinese government scholarships and bursaries are provided to motivate knowledge and innovation.
